I properly will not update this blog again as I had to delete the nhood because of a very buggy game play. With sims 3 comming soon, I will not attempt to fix it, so sadly there will not be anymore updates, I do however hope you have enjoyed the bit of story that I have sheared so fare
The Green Family

Another working class family living in this street is the Greens. Here is Beca preparing dinner in their small kitchen. Behind their appartment they are lucky enough to have a small garden witch they use to produce vegetables in.
Then Scott comes home from a long day at the factory he has another job to do. The sink in the bathroom is broken and he has to fix it.
Scott had an early shift at the factory so they eat their dinner together today. Dolly and Beca has both been home all day working. Beca has been producing pot holders and Dolly has worked in the garden farming a little extra free food for the family.
I have used Inger Jones’ fexi school hack to make it possible for the working class teen girls not to go to school to give them time to help out at home. I also think this make it more realistic as many working class teens did not go to school after their 14th birthday. Young Anna do still go to school and will stay there at least for the next few years.
After dinner Scott plays the violine while young Anna plays on the floor in front of the fire and the older women in the family reads the paper or a novel

The 1930s what not all glamour – it was actuarially less glamorous then most decades witch you have not been able to see before now. I always want to show more then one side of life in my game, so I had to have lower class living as well. So here I have my working class living.
Sweet Declan made these apartment buildings for. So everyone who live in a flat in my hood live in one of these house. I try to keep the people living there at low paying jobs and let them work in factories or be artist or run small businesses that don’t provide them with a big surplus.
The Newson family eating dinner
Maxis has made a pretty cool family with no adult – there are tons of kids and two teens. They barely make it by and I had to make the teen girl stay at home to take care at the toddlers because they do not have the money for a nanny. So he has to provide food for all of them on his teen wages. At lease mom and dad left a pretty big amount of money for them

This is a bit of cheating – this house is not located in the new hood.
I was trying out some of the new art deco pieces from the Garden and Mansion stuff pack – I think it turned out pretty nicely. The proportions are not totally good, but overall I like it.
This was really what started my hood.
Inside the hall is covered in red marble and the lines are all super grand to fit the style of the building.
Follow me up the grand staircase to the dinning tables upstairs.
Behind the building is a garden build to be used for entertainment and fun.
Christmas at the Galbraith’s house

One of the very modern families in my hood is the Galbrith family. I build their house from a picture of a danish house from the period. The style is called Funkis – so I might be refering to funkis every now and then.
It is a rather big one family house with a living room, dining room, kitchen, larder, two bathrooms, a small study and three bedrooms.
A quite night before Reanna and Amamuel had kids - both of them are reading a good book after a long day at work.
She is 6 month pregnant and they are looking forward to getting a kid. She also work as a journalist and he works as a scientist.
Sea side shopping strip

Back in 1902 Allan’s dad build this sea side shopping strip. 6 years ago his father retired and Adam took over the business. He have redecorated the beauty salon but kept the boutique as it was. Both stores runs very successfully in spite of the depression that lower most other people’s trade.
Allan is the proud owner of the car parked in front of the store.
I have changed the telephone since then so it is more in keeping with the period
Inside
Inside the shop everything is keept in dark wood and most cloth are still costum made - this is after all a high class boutique - not a post order cheap clothes shop.
Samples of ribbens, fabrics and other things you need to put together the perfect dress is kept on the walls.
I am really enjoying making over sims so I have added a beauty salon as well so my townies can leave the store looking like they really belong in the period.
Adam redecorated the salon then he toke over, so it appear a lot more modern then the boutique next door.
